Hi welcome! Nice to meet you too. My eyes just wandered onto your profile picture, that's outside Lestat's isn't it?
Not sure if you still consider them all local, but I love Steve Poltz, Gregory Page, Tristan Prettyman. I recently saw Kenny Eng and really liked him too.

In kentucky we have a pretty unique music scene. The local music of kentucky is pretty much bluegrass and old time music and yeah, I'm slowly getting into
the scene more. I play guitar so it's a cool genre for the instrument. I have a really good friend who is really into the local music scene and he and his
entire family play traditional Kentucky music. I think it's great. I'm not as into the twangy stuff, but I'm really into the folkier sound.
There's a local radio show that my friend hosts every Wednesday that I go to a lot. I love the idea of open mic nights though I haven't been to any
yet.

I went there the night Isaac Cheong was back from Australia for awhile! Saw him do a couple of songs too! What a cool place Lestat's is.
And congrats on your that first gig! What kind of music do you guys play? To keep in topic, local music scene here in Australia is AWESOME. I have to plug Broni from Melbourne Here in Perth, if anyone's interested, check out Schvendes, Saritah, The Panics.... Many more but I just don't remember at the moment.

kind of random but i was listening to the radio while driving to work today and 93.3 had the girl who was supposed to play guitar for michael jackson's tour on. i don't remember her name, but she was from australia. she played a few songs and she was awesome! |

Hey thanks for the plug Kersh!!!!
I was at lestats the night Childlikefaith is talking about. He lives in Sydney now, I'm going to spend some time with him in december. So i was technically a San Diego local for a month, and will be back for another tour next year. :-) Broni http://www.myspace.com/bronibroni
