Eric looks so adorable in it, and he got a lot of behind shots. Haha, love how Leroy always laughs, he seemed so conscious of the cameras.. I do love The Boy's Gone when it's empty, it felt so powerful. And you really get a better look at what Jason looks at from the stage. Maybe it's just me, but during I'm Yours, it sounded like Toca forgot to harmonise at some part in the beginning. Haha.! Love it. The Boys Gone at the end gave me chills. Un Beau Desordre was hilarious, love it. I haven't had a chance to buy it yet, but tomorrow I'm getting it! Woot! Can't wait! I'm particularly looking foreward to the mockumentary, whenever Jason and Billy get together the results are bound to be hilarious! By the way, I'm new to this, so hello everybody!

I was there since 10am and I remember very clearly when he came to the gates and everyone got to meet him. I stuck my hand through the gate, shook his hand and {this is when things happened very quickly} he asked what my name was, then I think he kissed my hand. It happened so fast all I remember were girls screaming around me. That was my first Mraz show, I couldn't have asked for a better experience...that and being front row in "Toca's" area. It sounds weird {and hopefully not conceited} but I do remember a videographer alongside Bushwalla and Jason, so if that crazy moment got caught on tape for the DVD, I'm gonna freak out. Damn why didnt I pre-order so I can see!

I suspect it was primarily done for time's sake; the cut on the DVD is lengthy, what with all of the band intros, and kind of a drag to sit through if you're listening to the CD. I received my copy of the CD/DVD yesterday and sat down to watch it from start to finish. It's wonderful -- and so much better than the Eagles Ballroom DVD. I say that for reasons that I mentioned to Team Mraz this morning, reasons that I wanted to share here as well: Even though the shows are bigger than ever, the spirit of Jason's live act is inching closer to what it was in the very beginning at Java Joe's. I've felt this shift for a while, especially at the shows I've caught during the Gratitude Cafe Tour, but I felt it more than ever while watching Live On Earth. Because that's Jason up on stage -- an older, more comfortable version of the guy who wowed everyone back in San Diego. (Which isn't to say that he hasn't been here all along, but there was an awkward growth period somewhere in the middle.) I'm overjoyed to be here with him and this community, and ever so proud of this live release. You guys are in for a treat! Also, to those of you who've commented on the choice to end with The Boy's Gone: that was Jason's idea. Figures. I feel kinda special that I experienced it before the official release next week. I listened to the CD as soon as I got it, and I just watched the DVD in its entirety. It is an excellent performance. I think I smiled (and sang) my way through the whole thing. The DVD really captured the spirit of a live Jason Mraz show. I loved Jason's performance of The Boy's Gone at the end. The extra segment with Billy, and the making of the videos segment was great too. (I love all that "behind the scenes" stuff.) For those of you who have yet to see and hear this latest Jason Mraz release, get ready for a great time. And a BIG "Thank You" to Philly for all of your help and info. Cindy

Posts: 13 (11/07/09 08:24 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	this is a great release. went to the CMAC show and my wife was pregnant so unable to attend. so I played her the DVD and she absolutely loved his live performance and now wants to attend if he comes close to Rochester again next year. My only complaint about this is the fact that there are so many other great songs from this show that I wish we released just on the cd. I enjoy live music a great deal and just feel that Jason's show from Chicago should have been released in its original form, minus the 2 extra versions of lucky. So many great tunes like song for a friend, life is wonderful and who needs shelter. Was this a management decision or a Jason decision? or was it a this entire show won't fit on 1 disc decision? I want a good quality copy of one of Jason's shows from this summer that gives the listener the opportunity to relive the 3 or 4 songs played from the audience in the 1st encore. Mike

My husband has been notivited to start putting money aside. Even sadder, my son put on his Christmas wish list... "to go back to Chicago". I'm glad the show was recorded though.
