Song of the Year!!
How cool is that? I always wanted one of those.... He deserves the Top Male Vocal Performance, but will likely lose to a legend. The Grammys are notorious for that. Losing to Kid Rock would just be silly. |

well lets see if they ask him to perform.... all of the performers usually win at least one grammy... which is why i dont always watch the grammys because
they're so predictable.

Holy shit, that's huge! I'm so proud and happy for Jason. He truly deserves to win 'em all. But since the Grammys are crazy predictable, I'm
gonna guess that Coldplay pretty much has SOTY locked and a legend or Grammy darling John Mayer will take Top Male. Really hope I'm wrong.

Exciting, and about time. Cool to have a nomination for his work as opposed to the technical side. Winning will be rough, but sure hope he does. I felt like
"I'm Yours" was more Record of the Year material than Song of the Year, but take what you can get.
I can understand hating on Kid Rock when he was doing is rock/rap baloney, but people oughta give him some slack now, he is far less fake than he ever was, now he just makes music that he enjoys. If anything i think he de-sold out--he used the korn/bizkit fad to get popular, then once he got his foot in he went to the music he's clearly more comfortable with (and better at). I think he's more self-aware than a lot of major artists out there (not close to jason, but who is). I don't know, there are so many pretentious, over the top artists out there who take themselves way too seriously, when one finally does what he wants to do and does it well, I don't like to see people put them down. Not defending Kid Rock's largely crappy catalogue of music, but he no longer deserves the personal attacks. And if you don't like "All Summer Long," you're just not white trash enough. :P Congrats to jason. |

the fact that the jonas brothers will probably win for "best new artist" just says what a sellout awards ceremony the grammys really is

Yeah, the Grammy-voters' decision making has gone to hell lately. Too many artists benefit from other people splitting the vote and crap like that. Really
disappointing. Which is why it's nice when someone who actually deserves it gets it. fingers crossed

If john mayer's 'say' wins over mraz, i will cut a bitch up.
not that i hate mayer, love the guy, but when you have a song and the line "Say what you need to say" repeats itself over 16 times in a song, something is off.
