Then, clueless as she is, she asked to hear the earliest recording I have to see "where I'm at with my music" in comparison to him. I just laughed, thinking that if I were to ever be as good as Jason has ever been at any point in my life then that'd just be crazy. I can never dream of being at any level near Jason surely! Despite this, I was wondering if anyone has any recordings from before A Jason Mraz Demonstration, which is from 1999 when Jason was 21/22. Anything from when he was 18 (the age I am now) to see how bad I am in comparison? I know this sounds craaazzzzzy but thanks. Mmm, my Mum just doesn't get it! Maybe still chance of #1 Jason Mraz and us in the top 10? Haha. Leading nicely on to my next question - what songs were written on Rocket already before he was signed? Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	mraz signed with elektra in 2002. there are setlists on www.commonpleasure.org (the new and better mrazmerized.com) as early as 1999. check those setlists to see what songs show up before WFMRTC. ian, mraz started playing guitar around the age of 18, so i doubt there are any recordings of him at this age, and if there are, i doubt they're public [i could be wrong]. how long have you been playing? i'd gauge by years playing, not age, necessarily. for recordings to share with your mum, i'm betting the earliest you'll find (other than the indie albums) would be on the live music archive, which only date back to 2000. that's my guess, anyway.
