The forecast This is a song I wrote on tour ages ago that was never intended for the record. We were growing quite bored one night trying to get Geek right and decided we should listen to old demos and see what else there was in the vault. The band immediately jumped on it and about an hour later it was finished.
This is the only song on the record that what was never re-recorded or re-touched. Its entirely live, every part. The only thing we added was percussion a few weeks later. Even the vocals are considered scratch vocals. Scratch tracks are what goes down on a cheap microphone in the live room when the whole band is playing. Usually you redo all the vocals later on a better mic with no bleed from the other performers. But the take on this version was so perfect we just sat back and let it be.
