I'm a sucker for versions with extra bits and changed lyrics.... Here goes nothing:

0% Interest from 06/12/2004 (available on archive.org as are all the below unless otherwise noted), has a funny intro about Toca's whereabouts, and includes opera bits and Voices Carry in addition to the usual Our House spiel.

I like After an Afternoon with the "It's not over" breakout. Try the Jan 01, 2001 version.

Don't miss the disco version of Please Don't Tell Her, available from the Norva and DC 9:30 shows (both mid-December 2005). I prefer the Norva one...

The version of You and I Both with the longer bridge ("the more you follow through...") The Wiltern show has a good example (11/5/2005); there's an alternate improv about Lincoln Center in the 10/16/2005 Avery Fisher show.

I love the rap he did in Unfold on this tour before he inserted Gypsy MC (back, back, back the truck up to the show...). Check the early October shows, including the 2 NY shows at Avery Fisher, as examples.

Unfold unfinished, from the May 2000 Jason V. LRC. Also, the strummed version of Halfway Home from the same show.

Song for a Friend with the "Go Your Own Way" break that turned out to be from Sewing Machine. I know he did it at the Avery Fisher 10/16/2005 show and at Norva (12/10/2005). The best time I ever heard it was in Minneapolis, but I don't know of any recording of it. I'm pretty sure people are yelling through the NYC one. . The recording from the Wiltern 11-05-05 is better (and fully acoustic).

No Doubling Back/Bright Eyes from Java Joe's 12-06-2001. An early version, with some alternate and some improv lyrics. NDB was incomplete, and I think an insert into Bright Eyes.

Life is Wonderful from LeStat's 4/15/2004, with Gregory Page and the famous "holla, holla... next up Bushwall -walla" line. I also like the version recently posted on the hiltonjourney.com site. His voice is rough, and he's clearly having trouble with some of it, but it's a great performance.

While I'm at it, I should point out that I'm deeply in love with any version of LIW where he sings "la-la la-la hello life, you're wonderful" toward the end, which he does with some regularity now (Copley 11/26/2005, DC 9:30 12/13/05, and at Tahoe and Austin this year, which aren't recorded as far as I know -- and it's too soon to ask for them anyway)

There are a couple of versions of At Last / Love Boat medley that make me laugh. Both from January, 2003. I think the one from 1/10/2003 is the best one -- Toca on the "French horn"

Conversation with Myself from LA Kasbah 1/30/2001 is slowed down with a very long intro

I'll Do Anything with Marley's One Love. He did it at the Housing Works show in NY (7/27/2005), but that wasn't a concert, it was a sing-along. The recording is better from the Schuba's show (1-15-2003). The One Love insert is better than 3 Little Birds, and done more often...

And just for fun, what I call the "Meet Your Neighbor Instrumental" (Boston Orpheum on 10/9/05, NYC 10/17/05 are the best recordings I have, I think). They've played it a lot. Some of the tapers refer to it as Intro to You and I Both. It's very rare that they play it and YAIB doesn't follow.

I really love the evolution of Plane over the course of this tour. The version at the Orpheum, and both nights in NYC (10/16 and 10/17 are good examples of the early part of what became the "ever since you started thinking outside the lines..." stuff at the end. You need a later version (9:30 DC 12/13/05) to get the "you should choose... you won't lose" addition.
