Hey friends! My man and I are taking off on a great American adventure, a test of the times, a test of our faith, a test of the American people. We're
selling all we can, giving away the rest and packing a pack. Kevin and I are leaving Ann Arbor next Tuesday, the 15th and will be going to Indiana to stay with
my family for a week or two. Then we are heading out east first, then the south, then out west to California where we are settling. I'm going to Los
Angeles, he's going an hour north of San Fran. We're excited! I'm telling you guys cause I want to know what's good and where. Do you know a
great cheap place to eat in a major metro city? Cool sights to see for little money/free? We want to see the country and prove that there are still
good-hearted people all across America. We will be hitchhiking every bit of the way. Please don't be negative and try to deter us, this is something we
have both wanted to do for a long time. Aaaaand if you have a floor or better yet, a backyard where we can set up our tent along the way, we'd love to meet
more RKOPer's.

it is sad. but we are going
to make it through. we'll only be apart for a year and there's always megabus. or a flight in a pinch. i'm getting really anxious! we've been
scrambling to get stuff done before we leave. you can follow our travels at our new blog at www.backpackinginamerica.blogspot.com we are going to try and
update from the road as much as possible.
