I could never do it...i'm bad with heights..but i love the adrenaline rush! Well i just got home from my first exam of the semester!! It actually went ok! Got another one tomorrow which i'm not too confident about as its going to be really hard (3 hours long). Then one more on thurs which should be fine. Can't wait to finish on thurs 'cause then i'm getting on a jet plane and going back home for two weeks of doing nothing!! Laura: seconded on the ads!! I could see it again, even though I saw it yesterday. Good work on the exam, Conor! Not that anyone should listen to me (Seriously! Decide for yourself!), but I'm probably going to vote for Obama for two reasons. 1. McCain opposes gay marriage. I think we need everybody's help to get the country back on track and that we can't afford to alienate any subset of the population. 2. Infrastructure. McCain may have a plan for it, but he doesn't mention it. Obama's very specific on his plans to improve transportation and the infrastructure. That's in my top 3 "what's wrong with the country" issues and I like to see someone actually address it. OK, political views over. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

I forgot to mention, Conor: I don't do many Vegas-y things. Even if I could afford to I am not sure I would gamble my money on slot machines at the grocery store (yes, grocery store) or the Strip, I don't think I would order a hooker that would be in my room in 30-minutes or less.... however, This is why I love Vegas.....and I love the 24-hour convenience of just about anything..... Christi-I've been on break about a week now and already went to 2 weddings, had friends from Vegas stay with me last week, rode a carousel and went camping. Gotta love summer! Janette- that picture is toooo cute! So I was camping this weekend and wish I could have captured on film how incredibly amazing Saturday night was. There we were, about 20 of us sitting around the campfire playing guitar and singing amongst other nefarious activities when we notice that there were hundreds and hundreds of fireflies all around the perimeter of, and inside the woods. I've never seen anything like it. The depth of their blinking lights went well into the woods. It was like some fairies strung blinking Christmas lights throughout the island we were on. Totally blew our minds. Nature had her groove on. ~Susan

It has been raining here a lot recently. But there's actually something vaguely restful about listening to the rain falling to the ground. I promise to read up on this thread. Soon.

It was a mess. The collar was off and there was a tag. I struggled with whether or not I should take it or walk away - I took it. I was nervous about calling the owner, but my husband suggested that I call the police instead. That worked out better, but then the police called back and asked me to call the owner to make arrangements for the collar. I called them in the first place so I could avoid dealing with a distraught pet owner!?! Anyway, I told them I'd drop it off at the police station. So sad.
