and rubie and rushiei can just imagine the woman being like "well.. i want to name one of them rubie. what should we name the other one?"
and the guy.. who i think is drinking a beer in his favorite chair... goes "fuckin... uhhhh.. rubie... fuckin.. rushie."
Anyway!
heres a ridiculous story that makes me look good kinda
so it was after dinner and i was out on my porch playing guitar, when all of a sudden.. i hear a woman scream... and so i stopped playing guitar... and she screams again. so i stand up and walk out a little bit to see whats up. it sounds like shes being attacked or raped or something (really my first thought)... and i figured i had my guitar on me.. so just in case i need to protect the woman or myself.. its there. anyway.. as soon as i get to the bottom of my stairs.. i see her bolt out of her garage and smoke just start billowing out... plume after plume of black smoke. shes yelling to her son to call 911.. and i run inside to tell my parents... and we all run outside.. me and my dad headed to the house to make sure everyone is okay and accounted for. well everyone is outside.. so we get everyone away from the house and wait for the firemen to show up. we just couldnt believe what we were seeing. the fire was spreading fast... it was moving along the walls and floor.. and soon.. the entire garage was nothing but a ball of fire... and it kept getting bigger and bigger. it looked like it was moving to the next house.. but by that point.. the neighbor was out with his pressure washer making sure it didnt jump to his roof.. and spraying down the roof of the garage. well anyway.. the firetrucks finally pull up and it takes probably a half hour or 45 minutes to put it all out.. but some of the roof had collapsed into the garage already.. and tons of damage had taken place. it was amazing and horrible. ive never seen so much fire in real life like that.. except for forest fires. but its so strange to see it on a house like that.
apparently what had happened was that the woman knocked over a shelf that was holding open containers of paint thinner.. and it fell onto their pool heater.. which ignited it all. the thinner then spread along the floor, under 2 cars and a motorcycle. i thought for sure that they were going to blow up.. but they had just melted. the tires were popped and the plastic was all melted. a brand new lexus, a classic chevy, and the bike was a honda. thank god the paint thinner didnt flow further... if it hit their driveway, it could have very well spread. their driveway is tilted down away from the house, and its on a sloped street. and frankly.. that street aims right toward my house.
what a terrifying and crazy experience
i ended up giving my story to the reporter for the paper
i cant believe what i saw
the woman, at one point, was caught in the middle of a fire.. it burnt off the bottom of her pants and a sock. thankfully.. she is completely alright and absolutely nobody was injured at all. they have insurance on the house and the cars (lots and lots of insurance. also they are very well off).. so hopefully it all turns out to be okay.
we dont know the protocol on what to do for the family... but we are going to have them over for dinner as soon as things settle down. probably get them some flowers or something too... atleast something
crazy night this turned out to be
