I was tempted to fly back for this, after all seeing him in my own hometown would ROCK... but I think I'll pass... Tickets are too expensive... Hahaha but
say hi to the band if you get to see them and I'll see them in Australia

I think i am going!!!!!! I am leaving holland on 17th july for a trip around the world, so first jason in holland ( parkpop and melkweg) then jason in Koln,
and hopefully in Singapore again! At that time i am in Thailand, but i saw that i can fly to singapore for about 50 euro!!!!!
Too bad it is a festival and over 80 euro's but hey.....i can handle it on top of my world trip budget!! |

Wow! I finally find the thread I need.
I just booked a flight from Manila to Singapore for this and I'm just about to buy a ticket to the show. I was
wondering if anyone can give me tips on what the show is gonna be like, the venue, the time, the setlist...is there going to be a gathering of the fans from
here or anything like that? Most importantly, is there going to be a chance to meet the band, the guy? I'd really appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

I just find it very amusing how they put it as "Singapore City" hahahahaha. At least it's not "The Lion City"
^ pleasedonttellher, I honestly have no idea what the show will be like, never been to a festival in Singapore before. Just be prepared to sweat a lot maybe? The venue is like a huge park, open air space, not sure how the tents will be done, gotta ask one of the other guys. Setlist for Jason I presume you're talking about? I don't think anyone knows what he's going to play until the day itself? But you probably can have a look at the other past shows threads to see what he's been playing recently. Good luck on the meet and greet! Some festivals do that

everything, anyway.
 He'll probably do a lot of numbers from WSWDWST. I guess I just want to have an idea how long it's going to be. I read at the
singfest forum that each act will probably do a 50-minute set each, which I think is too short. :s

And yeah, most festivals allow musicians to play for about 50 minutes, if you're lucky, maybe an hour! Sometimes the headlining acts get to play like 2 hours, but they're usually the final acts of the day

jetlagged, very likely coming straight from the airport to the venue. But anyway, I think I'll die happy on Aug 3 to see the man play!! I'm gonna get

The line-up times has just been announced, apparently, Jason's only given 45 minutes to play
 From 7-7.45pm. I'm gonna make sure i'm front row
center on that day..anyone game for the lining up part with me?

Lining up? Won't you be there in the day anyway?? You've got to check out the other bands before Jason plays too right?! After spending so much money
on the ticket! Lol.. How many stages are there any idea? Just start making your way down to his stage about an hour before, or when the band before him is
still playing and squeeze to the front, I'm sure you'll do fine

I don't think you'll need to line up much.. but then in Singapore... everything is about lining up, so good luck. HAHA. But usually festival lines go
really quick, they just slap on your wrist bands and you go in and do whatever you want. It's like a theme park
fun stuff. It's so soon I'm so
excited! How much did you pay for your ticket btw? My friend got a special with Levi's and bought his for 140

yeah the thing is, they don't say wht time the gates open. it's only stated '2pm' on my ticket. and yeah, i bought it frm levi's too.
really reasonable. i bought the ticket+jeans combo for $190
i'd like to walk around the area though, cuz there'll be some food stalls up and activities going on. I'm still thinking whether i should record the whole of jason's gig with the cam in my face or forego recording songs i don't like and just enjoying it...lol

Oh, to be living in Singapore at this time! Since I'm overseas, I had had to book my ticket online via SisTic, for $203. Gah. Didn't I read somewhere
that the gates will open at 12 nn?

*hyperventilates* My friends and I are going to queue up at around 10:30 xD. My friends and are made a pink board for him. If you see a group of teens carrying a board for jason on one side and panic on another side, that would be us. Say Hi if you see us. lol. See you guys there.
