yaaay for a czristy post! can't wait to see pics of your new home!!!
we looked at a few more houses tonight. there's one that has a LOT of promise. i'm not saying yet whether i like it or love it because i've learned that i really take a day or two to digest these kinds of things. i know i love the outside of the house. it's on a ginormous lot- it's in town on a 1/3 acre. the front and back yards are amazing. my cousin and i hatched a new business idea in the backyard (i'll rent the place out for weddings and she'll coordinate them.) there's so much shade and a cute arch and a giant arbor with a koi pond. there's an in-law unit in the back too. the inside of the house is smallish- it was built in 1909, remodeled in the 20's and then updated in the 70's so there's a lot of character to it. the people who own it still live in it so 1.) it was awkward to take pictures so i didn't and 2.) it's hard to imagine my stuff in it or the possibilities of each room when their all fully furnished. there are plenty of things i'd want to change inside but not much that is needed immediately. there IS, however, some exterior work that has to be done before it will pass inspection (some of the siding needs to be replaced) and there's a spiral staircase to a loft that won't pass code so we're going to have to write into our offer something about those things being resolved as part of the transaction. it's nice that it's not a short sale (meaning i could have it squared away much quicker) and it's priced pretty low (which makes me wonder what we don't know about it). my uncle who knows all about this stuff is going to go look at it this week and give me some advice. this place has some SERIOUS potential- let's see what happens! also, my mom expressed her love and devotion for the house in every way but for kissing the linoleum. she was sold when we walked into the front bathroom and saw the wainscoat walls and clawfoot tub.

hi Christy! we miss you! Yay for Rachel graduating! Yay for Natasha getting a job! I know how hard the job hunt is, so I'm very happy for you. And Kat, the hair color is super cute, like everyone already said. I think you should keep it! As far as my life goes right now... I've been occupying my jobless days with helping to promote my friend Jake's band... quite a few of you met him at the Metro and Eastern shows. His band has potential boy. They have a show next week at the Double Door which will be super fun. I'm happy for them. I recently applied for a few positions at this music agency for doing either bookings, promotions, or public relations and someone called me back from there today. Of course, I didn't answer cuz I screen my calls when I don't know the number but I called back and left her a voice mail so keep your fingers crossed you guys, cuz my dream might be able to come true! God that would be amazing. And with my extra time I've been kind of thinking about my life and some recent situations and I've realized that I've hurt a lot of people recently, and so if anyone felt my wrath recently, I apologize deeply. Things are going to change drastically, but in a good way, I promise. Aaannd I think thats it for now. .amy. 6.27.04- Summerfest, Milwaukee, WI | 8.28.04-Michigan State, East Lansing, MI

Well guys... the lady just called me back from the music agency, and she is going to send me some information/contracts to do this (I'm assuming she is
based in Cali or something)... and basically, I can work as much or as little as I want, which is pretty awesome. I'm looking forward to it! Hopefully I
can make some decent money. She said that basically I get paid like 10% of the show's proceeds if I book the show and another 10 or 20% if I promote the
show as well... I gotta read through the contract and see more about it but I'm super excited!!!! I just hope its not too good to be true! haha

SO!
it appears to be official "DEGREES AWARDED Awarded: Bachelor of Arts Degree Date: May 10, 2008 College: College of Arts and Sciences Major: Communication Studies" thats what it says now! for the looongest (and piss-my-pants-in-fear) time, it only said "Degree Candidate for: Bachelor of Arts" but im no longer a degree candidate! im listed as an awardee of the degree! this means i can finally (3 weeks later) feel secure in the fact that i graduated boo university of montana making students wait like this i dont even get the diploma until september 23rd. september. 23rd. i graduated may motherfuckin 10th. they are sooo slow about things BUT YAY!

soooo i totally feel your pain scott. while i did get my diploma, i have to wait for my AP scores until middle of JULY and we took the test may 9th! the biggest problem with this is that my english placement exam for college rests on the exact date that the indianapolis show is, so if i don't get high enough on my ap lit exam, i have to go take a placement test at the college that day!! :[ booooowhore Anxiously awaiting... that sucks! but hopefully you did well.. thatd simplify everything
i just wish schools were on any sort of a timely schedule really.. with the degree thing for me... its just such a hassle to even graduate, let alone finish classes/take tests/have a social life/not go crazy to graduate... i had to pick up a form from my department (which i never went to for anything except advising and the occassional begging professors for better grades), fill it out (quite the long form, mind you. its as if i wasn't going to school there for 2 years and they knew absolutely nothing about me, despite the layers of files they must have on me after i filled them all out in the first place), turn it AND official transcript AND transfer credit evaluation into my department (which are each, individually, a bitch to get), pick it up after they approve it, deliver it to the registrar WITH a $25 processing fee, wait two weeks, and find out if its approved. if its not, then you have to do it all again. ALSO, if at any point you drop, or change a class.. you have to do it all again. which i did. but luckily... i changed my classes before they had a chance to approve it in my department.. so the secretary just let me change it on the application and this is all an application just to be accepted as a degree candidate! now... my roommate derek was telling me... all he did was: 1) take the classes he needed. 2) had the paid professionals working for the school do all the paperwork. 3) graduate. 4) get his diploma the day he walked down the aisle to pick it up. nothing has made me want to bitch slap a newborn quite like that process

where did you move, bru?
jason's getting more perez love than i can get behind anymore. it's getting creepified. listen to my crazy weekend! tomorrow i am leaving work early (shhh) and going to pinecrest (my favorite lake- the one i went to in april and it was completely drained and depressing), spending the night, hanging out at the lake on friday. then coming home and leaving early saturday morning for chico (3 hour drive) for andrea's wedding shower and picking up my bridesmaid dress (lets hope it's not le frumps), coming back that night and getting up early for church sunday. phew. then next weekend i'm flying (instead of driving the 5 hours!!!) to LA to stay with my brotherface and we're all going to universal studios- which caught on fire the day after we purchased tickets... it'll be funski.

Oooh a visit from Bru AND Candi! Two of my favorite accents. I miss you both heaps! How's lil Kira? I miss her too.
Rachel does look like Winnie in real life too. Just no bangs, or no Kevin following her around. Sounds like a fun weekend, NoH. I haven't gotten either of my bridesmaid dresses yet. I hope I don't have to get much altered. So... you know I reeeeeeeally hated my job at the beginning of the school year? The admins seemed to be picking on me, etc... Well, I got my evaluation, and I was rated "Superior" (highest rating I could get), and the comments were really good. I didn't get a copy yet, but once I get the sheet I'll let you know what they wrote. Unfortunately, not everyone at work is easy to work with. There is one person that just makes the job shitty. I just wish I could do something about it.
Well... Everyone else is doing it...

eep teacher drama cheryl :[
joel's mom was an english/science teacher at the middle school where we live, and she would tell the most ridiculous stories. apparently the principal of the middle school had a relationship with a teacher that worked at the middle school (they're both woman, so they made it kind of hush hush to the public) and then like the principal ranodmly kicked the other lady out of her house and like made her job as a teacher a living hell and would like come into her class and scream at her randomly, just not acting professional at all and bringing matters into it that hsould've been left out of the workplace. ultimately, the lady left the school and worked at a different one (elementary i think). crazzzzzy shiat.
