Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Hey everyone, my name is Tyler Huff and i'm a fan of Jason's from San Diego. I'm also an avid audio taper and have been lucky enough to be at many many shows over the years here in San Diego and to document them through audio recordings so that the music that was made that day would be preserved for years to come. I also work for the Live Music Archive at www.archive.org, of which Jason has been gracious enough to lend his approval to archiving his live shows over the years. Back in the fall of 2006 "Bushwalla and friends" started doing shows sunday nights at a coffee shop here in town called "Twiggs". The shows were Billy Bushwalla, Jason, Toca, Keith Benton, Andre DeSantana, and whoever else was around, doing fun songs, trying new things, telling stories, and having new and different openers every week. Jessie Payo, Tom Fruend, Gregory Page, Ainsley Henderson, etc all would play. Sometimes Billy would go out to tour and Jason would take over for him and sometimes the opposite happened. These weekly shows went on till about March 2007 when Twiggs closed temporarily because of noise complaints. The venue was changed across the street and the music continued. I was fortunate enough to record most of the shows at twiggs during that time span, but at the time Jason asked me to not release the recordings because many of the shows had early versions of songs / early ideas / etc that he was putting together for his next studio album (which was finally released yesterday, "We Sing, We Dance, and We Steal Things"). Anyway, now that the album has come out, I dropped him a line asking if these old twiggs shows could finally be shared on archive.org and spread to the fans... his reply was "Go for it. Post away. Thanks for the nice words. ... Stay Fresh and enjoy the surf... -j" So with his blessing I started uploading the shows. I'll post in this thread as more of the shows make it up to the Live Music Archive.
