They really shouldn't serve you champagne that early in the morning though!!! The bubbles went right to my head.

The croissants were dry, the champagne was warm, the cd's were ripped and i couldn't hear Jason because there was violent singing in my ear....
It was FANtastic! Does anyone have any of those salmon doo-dah's left - they were GOW-JUS. Is it June/July yet? |

Rhys, I'm sorry but Cat made some calls and it's still not June, not even for her. Bastards.
As for this morning it was fabulous. I heart warm champagne and hard croissants on a Tuesday morning. No, seriously, I loved it and I think pretty much everyone else did too. Great little venue inside a truly wonderful one.
Mini-set was acoustic duo and consisted of: Make it Mine The Remedy I'm Yours Beautiful Mess Beautiful Mess was stunning! Although Jason has a slight cold (what's with his sickness and London?) the silent appreciation gave me goose bumps and reminded me of the amazing rendition of 10,000 M'Fers I was blessed to witness at Joe's Pub. That one song was worth the whole trip for me. Loved the fact we got swag ..
Doubly loved the fact it was a hard copy of the album so spent the train journey home studying all of the amazing artwork. All in all, a fab time. Rhys, I love you - Cat, I missed you - when I become Prime Minister it'll be June/July all the time .. See you at Hyde Park Kiddos! ~Ceri~ |

I CAN SEE US IN THE MIRROR - AMAZING!
Not quite sure i'm down with the 'silent appreciation' though. Ceri my phone has been raped - hence my lack of cellular fusion. |

Can't believe I forgot to put the setlist up. For some reason I had 3 sets of badges in my goody bag.
I agree Ceri, Beautiful Mess was stunning. Got it most of it on video, so watch this space. Also, I had an email to say that there will be an interview and exclusive live performance on the Janice Long show on Radio 2 sometime after midnight tonight. ~ Suzi ~

As usual it was simply amazing but more so because of the company.... Scott was a Mraz virgin and for various reasons that may be obvious to those there, he
was holding out for a show like this, one hell of a 3rd date me thinks! I dont think it could get better lol.... well maybe! Beautiful mess was just spine
tingly perfect.
The goody bag said "steal this" which didnt seem quite right after being given one... so I stole another hehe! A present for a friend who's having a rough time of late, she will be pleased. Will upload pics and vids as soon as I can, as if today wasnt enough Im heading out to another gig tonight. Fits of Joygasms all day today, nothing at work could bring me down today. Thanks so much Jason and Toca... love you more than you know x |

Wow - that was just awesome - I'm still stunned by this day and only just home after driving round the country so...
For now - my sincere apologies to Ceri and Rhys and anyone else it affected that I couldn't stop myself from singing along! I have no self control ~Damo~ |

Haha, it was your first 'time', so i understand the compulsion; it's just the chance to hear / see him in such an intimate setting doesn't
arise often, so it's generally an advantage to step back and appreciate the performance in its purity <-- what the hell..?

Did you record some in the end? ~Ceri~ |

Please do Ceri - I'm hoping that I'll get to see a lot more of you all as future gigs and events come round and would hate to have you wanting to avoid
me because I ruin your concert going experience!
I did record most of it and I'm trying to get it up on you tube asap The opening track Make It Mine should be up there now...... |

So I'm waiting for Beautiful Mess to upload to you tube......
Today was amazing, I suppose as much for the fact that I finally got to meet Jason for the first time and then completely choked up after saying a few words - I've been waiting ages to meet him and can't believe I couldn't get any words out - but hey what an awesome person he is - cos he saw me like this and then just gave me a hug! I was so touched - yes there were those that saw me with tears in my eyes as I walked away and I don't mind admitting to it. I've been so inspired by his music, his lyrics, his blogs, journals and live performances over the last five years and today just confirmed that he is as genuine and as amazing as I've suspected him to be. I did have to keep being reminded that he is 'Only Human' which makes it all the more awesome. Well I'm speaking to the converted here cos I guess you already feel the same way which is why you're on this forum too. Managed to get to speak to Toca too and this time didn't choke up so was able to just relax a little and chat normally. Toca's amazing as well and so so down to earth and genuine, really felt that he was interested in what we had to say. The venue as already said was awesome - I'd never been to the Opera House before and even from the bits we saw it is an incredible venue, building and the ballet studio where the breakfast and performance took place was great. I have to admit I wasn't that interested in the food so much but partook and did enjoy - I'm afraid when it comes to pain au chocolat they have to be really awful for me not to eat them, so yea they were a little dry but ..... The mini set was fantastic - a little distracting having the official photographer keep walking in front of us, but I was pretty much focused on watching, listening and as already commented on above, singing along with Jason - I'm sorry guys - I've noticed that even at home when I try to just listen to the videos or when he was on the radio just now on Radio 2 I can't help myself I'm singing along before I realise what I'm doing - Ceri I'm intrigued to find out if you can teach me to mime now after that realisation! Rhys thanks for your understanding. As I was writing this the upload to Beautiful Mess failed - so will leave it running over night and post the link in the morning, if it's worked by then. Great to see you again Ceri and wonderful to get to meet some new RKOP'ers Suzi, Tim, Fay and Rhys. See you all again in July (is it really 6 weeks away!) ~Damo~ |
