This thread is frustrating but it's really interesting to hear what other people think. I find this much more facinating than the favorite song threads.
I'm not going to bother trying to defend the songs that I love that are getting hated on (Older Lover, 10K MFers), everyone has their opinion, but I've
gotta say that I skip over a lot of the slow jams from Mr. A-Z and the bland versions of I'm Yours. Like Jeannette said though, even for the songs that
I'm less fond of, there's probably at least one alternate version that I dig.

I don't exactly have one song in mind which I don't like at all. Overall, I like all Jason's music, but if I have to pick a few of my least
favorite songs, these would probably be on the list:
- Clockwatching (I don't know why, I just don't like it) - I Melt With You (I don't like the beginning of the song) That's everything I can come up with right now xD I actually like almost the whole the Mr. A-Z album and I adore all the new songs he wrote over the past few months (especially Coyotes and If It Kills Me <3333). |

clockwatching was my second to least favorite on mr-az. it's grown on me... a little. and rikki, i love dygmm too.
i loved i'm yours when it was new. i like it now. i really like the we sing version. it's probably because it sounds like a different song. know what song i love? what we want.

Oh and what happened to Warming Up? I freakin love that song. I also still hate Too Much Food. It's the only one on wfmrtc that I don't love.

I like most, and if not actively like, I can listen to almost anything without feeling the need to press skip.
However <dons flame proof suit> I really, really can't listen to Only Human. I'm hoping maybe the live version everyone talks about may change that, but at the moment it's a skip every time.

I know I might get hit for this, but I'm not a huge fan of Dynamo of Volition. Its weird because I REALLY love and groove to the chorus, but the verses
are just too crazy and seem out of place to me.
I have a few days here and there where I'll breeze past the Forecast or Who Needs Shelter. But then again, someday I have moods where those songs fit perfectly. So I guess my favorite (and least favorite) songs really depend on my mood lol. ETA: I'm surprised that so many least favorite songs are from Mr. A-Z... well maybe not... but I was always surprised to hear that so many fans didn't like it. I too have always enjoyed the diversity of it, and still listen to it very often. As much as everyone knocks on Wordplay, I really love it because it cracks me up everytime (Too Much Food too.)

i agree with the phases thing, but there are two songs i've never been able to get into-
Forecast No Stopping Us (which is a rough one to dislike, given he plays it at every damn show) I've noticed that (Barring the singles) a majority of the songs disliked are slow ones. Better, Curiosity, who needs shelter--those are some of my favorites. weeeird. |
