jillian- i don't mean that i want jason to be unknown. he definitely isn't. i just don't want him to get tooooo big. giant stadiums and tens of
thousands of little girls waving signs and screaming for the remedy and i'm yours is NOT something i would enjoy. jason has said he's happy with the
level of fame he has now. he's able to travel enough, put out steady albums, make money from the tours/sales, and still pop into coffeehouses in san diego
to try out his new stuff.
that's all i'm saying. |

A lot of negativity going on with the new version, focus on the positive of the song. I like how you can hear Toca in the backgorund. I like it, it's
different, but I understand why you guys don't like it, it's not the original.

Well, the first hundred or so times I heard "I'm Yours" it made me smile until my face hurt.
I like to think of it as an old friend; it's not the song's fault we played it until we were tired of it. |

you're sooooo right cat. i'm pretty sure we all loved it when we heard it that first time with the speechwriters...
it's a happy little hippy tune and i can't help but love it. |

wow, I kind of love the new version a lot.
makes me want to hula. and I don't think jason sounds too "smooth." It doesn't sound like he's been overly digitalized, that's why I like it. Art SporkJournal "I'm feeling really juby today." Hold your own, know your name, go your own way. |

I think that link needs to come down. I doubt Jason wants his potential number one floating around as an unprotected wma file. As great as it is to get a
preview that song is quite easy to steal as it is right now. Just my two cents. I do love the new studio cut though! I just think we shouldn't under cut
j's success by letting his single float around the net. Take it easy guys.

rocketcat wrote: Agreed. I don't understand why so many people don't like it? The vocal arrangement is almost identical to how Jason and Toca perform it live. Anyone would think it's totally hideous from the number of gripes I've read. As far as the link goes, it's staying for now until I get further word from management... unless the person who posted it decides to remove it before then.

PS: regarding Jason being getting more famous --
When this board began, it was basically a bunch of people from San Diego posting who'd meet up at Java Joe's. The fact that all of you guys are here indicates that Jason has already reached a level of fame much higher than any of us here ever anticipated. It's all relative.

I don't hate this song, it's just not my fav. What I liked about this song was when Adam would come out with the shaker across the back of the stage.

loodleloodlelay wrote: agreed! I was just watching the Eagles ballroom DVD today properly for the first time, meaning watching it once through, and that crowd was pretty huge. The DVD made him seem like a huge star. And the camera panned at the people sitting behind, who expectedly weren't as ethusiastic as those up front of the stage. It also got me thinking and amazed at how Jason still feels so comfortable playing at small venues, looking at his recent Europe tour last year. It makes me smile big. Jason is really not like other 'big shot' stars out there, who don't bother to make that connection and sense of real intimacy with fans:D I don't think he will change his style of performing at small to medium-sized venues anytime soon. He knows what he wants, that guy.
This might be the opportunity
