Are you still coming to Chicago? pleasesayyes Emmy - I dunno about work tomorrow. If I hear something from the office I'll let you know. I guess I'm planning to go in, but I haven't listened to the news to hear anything about what's shut down. |

Rikki, you're having corn hole too? You really have thought of everything! Cheryl, it's better to hear that it's a Midwest thing because for the longest time people were saying it was just an Ohio thing. We can't take all the credit! How did you fare with the Chicago Bears? Cat and Em, it's good to hear you guys are okay. I didn't know you guys worked in and around there but, geez, I just saw what happened on the news and that was scary!!! That's like something straight out of a movie. Candi and Cheryl - Cheer up. It's not good when the both of you guys are sad. Micaela, I love your avatar. Very cute! Be jealous everyone...This Friday I had to cancel with my friends on seeing the Gin Blossoms perform at our Rally By the River just so I can see...Vince Neil perform at the Harley Davidson Store. My brother won tickets through the radio station and none of his friends are available to go, so he recruited me. I'm not sure what I'm in for but I expect a lot of hairspray, feathered hair, and leather. I'll have to take my camera for this one! Maybe he'll sing Dr. Feelgood. This Summer is going by too fast for me. I'm not looking forward to my job in the Fall plus I need a car. Why did we sell my CR-V? It's thoughts like these that keep me from sleeping at night. sandy

have any of you ever felt like killing me before?
if you have... please do it now. tonight. at worked. sucked balls. hard. like... uncomfortably hard. the kind where you're like "that stopped feeling good about 2 minutes before you even fuckin started". hoooooly shit a. i had the douchiest douches ive ever douched... met.... and they were fuckin assholes about everything. b. i worked alone all night. c. it was fuckin swamped even for a night with 2 people. i did it alone. all the fuck alone. just thinking toward chicago. mmm chicago. but i dont work alone as far as the schedule shows ever again. i desperately dont want to do it ever again. it was one of the worst experiences. BUT IN OTHER NEWS: im not sure if i should say anything about anything involving kristie right now... but she has 2 giant pieces of great news for her and her family. i will tell you that great things are happening for her dad as her dad is doing some stuff for himself to help him step up as a family man AND she might be an aunt within a few days, if not a few hours. ive been really really happy for her all day. i hope everything works out perfectly for everything. just thought you all should know too alright. im beat like a kitten with a branch from a tree. specifically melissa's cats after i get to 'em. WATCH OUT, KITTIES! SCOTTYS A LOOOOON! thursday: the day of non-stop sleep forever and ever

specifically melissa's cats after i get to 'emspeaking of douchebags... so less than 48 hours from now i'll have a copy of harry potter in my hot little hands. unless emmy or cat want to go to the bookstore where michiko kakutani got hers. if you want to read her (very very good) review, click here. SPOILER WARNING though. she reveals an approximate death count and other (albeit vague) plot details that might spoil the "purity" of the book for you. if anything, though, it made me MORE excited for tomorrow night. ![]() |

cat and emmy--i'm glad you both are alive! wow, what a scary expierence.
i'm getting ready to leave ann arbor. i have had an awesome two days. we ate thai food on tuesday night when i got here and the leftovers fed me twice! i ate big ten burrito...never heard of it before but it was gooood. we got up at 7am on wednesday to go shopping at urban outfitters. the art fair is HUGE in ann arbor and so u.o. has HUGE sales. all kinds of goodies for $1, $3, $5, $10! i stopped buying clothes, and interestingly enough...i didn't find any clothes i wanted so i bought a really cool bag/purse for $10. u.o. puts new stuff out every hour so we went home, ate some homemade strawberry jam that allie's mom made. HOLY SCATOLI, it is the greatest thing ever created. i might steal it before i leave...shhh. we took a nap, then went back out to the art fair. we saw so many cool art pieces. a giant moose that was made entirely of nails, a woman with a cello built into her bod and breasts, break-dancers, we had bubble smoothies at the bubble cafe or something like that. i was completely intrigued, i had never heard or seen of 'bubbles'. we walked around for about five hours, hitting up urban outfitters two more times, and i bought some sweet cards. we came home, rested a bit, got high, then walked to the burrito place. sooo good. after that, we passed out at like 9:30pm. it was amazing. we slept sooo long. i'm good for a month. ok..i'm heading to chi-ca-gee. rikki...text me when you get to martyrs. i might just sit at the bar with you.
peace

meliss23 wrote:to click or not to click that is the question. eeeeeekkkk... I'm dying for the book. I just finished re-reading the sixth one yesterday. My day has been looking up. I got my raise today (gasp!) but it was much less than expected and my boss is so lazy she must of did my review in one minute. Because it's based on a 1-5 system (5 being awesome, 1 being quit now before we fire you) and she gave me ALL 3s. and had no comments. oh well. and i get to see Todd Carey today, i heart him. ![]() |

I totally read the review.
That's a high death count! Geeze! Oh well...I'm still freaking excited as all hell to read it. MY GAWD. I'm SOOOOOOOO excited I can barely contain myself. In other news: Today I'm working with actors and my director on my play. I refuse to work on my play before I hear it read. I have NO idea how long it is when it's acted out...so...this should prove interesting (plus..professional actors imitating politicians...oooooo). I'm nervous as hell, though. I know they'll like it, but SOMETIMES I think I'm a shitty writer. Dear GOD IMSOEXCITEDFORHARRYPOTTERICANBARELYBREATH. and all my co-writers went to the intern's hosue last night and got wasted. Hahahhaahaha. They're all so hungover right now it's hilarious. I love making fun of them! And talking really loud...yeah.
I'll catch you on the flip side.--Rocco.
And now me, whitney. |

this time next week i'll be driving to dallas!!! yay vacation!!!
and ill say it and im not afraid to. I dont like Harry Potter. shun me if you like but i never got into it. I got invited to apply for an internship (doesnt seem like that big of a deal right, invited to apply?) with Invisible Children next year and i so wish i was in the position to do it right now but im not. It would be two weeks of training in san diego (bonus!) and then two months and two weeks in Uganda and its an amazing opportunity and I have a little favor going my way for it, but I just cant do it right now and so im kinda bummed about that. But if all goes right I will be going to Africa in December or January anyway so who knows what will happen from there. and yes scott is right.. very good things happening in my life right now, all smiles

^^ That sounds awesome, Kristie! I wish I could do that!! bah. Uganda. Awesome.
And congratulations on nearly being an aunt! I won't shun you for not liking Harry Potter. I can't blame you. I started reading it when I was in 4th grade (Dear GOD...eight years later...) So I was the perfect target group. I remember being 11 and being pissed off that I didn't get my letter. How come there isn't an American school for Wizardry?! Because Americans are too...muggley for magic. So I wanted to move to England and rewind time to be 11 again so I could get my letter. Hahaha. I was such a freak.

I'm thinking of going to Italy...
Also, I miss Kathryn. Furthermore, I, too, am pretty psyched about the Harry Potter book. I did NOT read the review. I'll just wait. I'm reading 6 now -- well, not right now, but you get the idea. And finally, Emmy should book on into the city to go to the Living Room with me (@Ludlow % Stanton & Rivington) at 9pm to see Andrea Wittgens. I heart her, and not just 'cuz we're related. Other things Emmy should do with me
include seeing Jay Brannan again at the Living Room on August 18, and saving the effing date to see Eric Hutchinson on August 23rd at the Cutting Room.
